The win from Kurtley Beale's Wasps over Saracens is evidence of a growing belief the English rugby side is ready to begin lifting silverware once more, according to centre Elliot Daly.
Fullback Beale starred on the weekend as Wasps clinched top spot and a home semi-final in the English Premiership with a 35-15 victory over Saracens, leaving his London side on track to make the title match on May 27.
Losing to Leinster in the quarter-finals of the European Champions Cup in March called into question Wasps' readiness to usurp Saracens as England's best team.
But Daly believes a first Premiership title since 2008 is possible for Wasps.
"The confidence isn't something we're used to," said the England and British and Irish Lions centre.

"Since I have been here, we have gone into the big games, away from home especially, thinking we probably weren't going to win. But the confidence around the group at the minute is massive.
"To win a big game against Saracens in front of a home crowd and get that home semi-final, finish top of the table - which Wasps haven't done in their history - is massive for the club and we want to push forward now."
Not only does Beale hold the key to Wasps lifting a trophy, he is shaping as the man to help the embattled NSW Waratahs make a last-ditch Super Rugby finals bid.
If he plays in the English club title decider it would rule the classy playmaker out of the Waratahs' hosting of Melbourne Rebels and the round-15 trip to Hamilton to tackle the Chiefs on June 3.
But he could conceivably return to Sydney to play the Jaguares and the Western Force in Perth in the final two rounds, matches that could prove crucial for the Australian conference honours.
