The Australian 21-year-old rookie ranked 10th for jersey sales among NBA players, placing him ahead of some of the league's biggest stars including the Portland Trail Blazers' Damian Lillard, the Golden State Warriors' Klay Thompson and the Minnesota Timberwolves' Jimmy Butler.
Golden State Warriors guard and two-time NBA MVP Steph Curry was the top seller.
The Cleveland Cavaliers' LeBron James was second, the Warriors' Kevin Durant third, Milwaukee Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo fourth and the Boston Celtics' Kyrie Irving fifth.
The rankings are based on NBAStore.com sales since October's start to the 2017-18 NBA season.
Simmons' ranking did drop from the eighth place he held when the NBA released a mid-season list in January.
The other top sellers in the latest sales figures were sixth-placed Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City Thunder) followed by Kristaps Porzingis (New York Knicks), Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers), James Harden (Houston Rockets) and Simmons in 10th.
Trailing Simmons were Kawhi Leonard (San Antonio Spurs) in 11th, then rookie Lonzo Ball (Los Angeles Lakers), Lillard, Thompson and Butler.
The Warriors are also the most popular NBA team.
The Californian team and reigning champions topped merchandise sales.
The Cleveland Cavaliers were second followed by the 76ers, Lakers, Celtics, Bucks, Thunder, Knicks, Chicago Bulls and Rockets.
It is the third consecutive regular season Curry and the defending NBA champions have earned top honours.
