Premier Gladys Berejiklian's new ministry has been sworn in at Sydney's Government House in a ceremony interrupted by kookaburra laughter and toddlers' tears.
A group of politicians and their families walked through the gates of the governor's residence together on Tuesday afternoon, 10 days after the coalition's election win.
NSW Governor David Hurley thanked the 24-person cabinet for making a "difficult career choice" at the beginning of the ceremony before he was briefly interrupted by the cackle of kookaburras.
Subsequently, Treasurer Dominic Perrottet had to contend with a bawling toddler as he was officially put in charge of the state's coffers again.
Krikor and Arsha Berejiklian were on hand as their daughter become the first woman elected premier in NSW to be sworn in.

Ms Berejiklian later told reporters she and her ministers were keen to get to work.
"Now that the formalities are out of the way we're looking forward to getting down and really moving forward with our agenda," Ms Berejiklian said.
"It is a team that is diverse, it is a team that is committed to serving the people of this great state and a team that is committed to working hard."
First time ministers sworn in included Nationals MP Kevin Anderson in the better regulation portfolio, colleague Bronnie Taylor in regional youth and women, and Liberal MPs John Sidoti in sport and Gareth Ward in disability.
