Berlusconi releases 'True Love' album

Now that he doesn't have to run the country, former Italian leader Silvio Berlusconi has his sights set on the top of the European pop charts after releasing his fourth album.

The 75-year-old politician, who resigned as Italy's Prime Minister earlier this month, released his new album True Love on Tuesday.

The album was originally set for release in September but record bosses stalled its debut as Berlusconi tackled Italy's debt crisis.

Berlusconi has performed for the likes of Tony Blair, Vladimir Putin and George W Bush at his villa in Sardinia.
