The hilarious parody, performed by two firefighters from Kent Fire and Rescue Service in England, includes a slow dance to the song, 'The Time of my Life', before the duo launch into the famous Dirty Dancing lift, with the message for people to test their smoke alarms.

The video begins with the firefighters approaching each other and breaking out into a slow dance and even performing several twirls.

Before long the man runs off to give the woman enough room to launch herself towards the smoke alarm, where he flawlessly holds her up in the same pose as the iconic lift from the iconic 1987 film.

The message behind the parody was: "Keep having the time of your life, test your smoke alarm weekly."

The video was shared on Twitter by the department with the message: "Nobody puts fire safety in the corner! Keep having the time of your life – test your smoke alarm weekly #DirtyDancing #1987".

Social media praised the department for their quirky method to warn people about fire safety.

When asked by the public how they convinced the two smooth moving firefighters to perform the dance, the department said it didn't take much.

"We brought watermelons," the Kent Fire and Rescue Tweet read.

The department also suggested using a broom handle, instead of performing the lift, as an easier way to check to see if a smoke alarm is working.
