GWS utility Adam Tomlinson thinks opposition defenders will have an even tougher time trying to keep up with star forward Jeremy Cameron this AFL season.
Cameron has led the Giants' goal-kicking in six of the club's first seven seasons in the AFL, and tied for the honour in the other.
A feature of the 25-year-old's current pre-season has been an increased work rate, with the key forward popping up all over the training ground.
"(Cameron's) Jez's fitness in the last few years has just gone through the roof, he's got super speed and he's just become a really elite runner now," Tomlinson told AAP.
"Good luck to the defenders who've got to run up and down and keep up with him."

A founding GWS player, Cameron was locked into a five-year contract with the Giants, but that is due to expire at the end of 2020.
With an injury-plagued 2017, and a five-game suspension from round 14 of 2018, behind him, Cameron is set to lineup in the opener against the Bombers on Sunday in peak form.
"The benefits of having a big pre-season up until now is you're not going to get any fitter," Tomlinson said, adding the side had done a lot of work since November to keep them going through the season.
Tomlinson, arguably the Giant's most versatile player, shrugged off recent comments the team had missed its window at a grand-final berth, pointing to the strong culture within the clubroom.
"I'm inside the four walls, I know what's going on inside the club," Tomlinson said.
While admitting it would be hard going to reach the preliminary finals, after the club's semi-final defeat last year, he said the energy and drive from the players each week had been "super".
"A lot of people have said that our time's done but it will take the year to tell," he said.
Meanwhile Tomlinson says his own position as a restricted free agent will not distract him from the game, with the future of headline players such as Josh Kelly and Steve Coniglio taking the heat off any transfer buzz.
"I love this footy club," Tomlinson added.
"It's been a great place to play footy for the past few years."
