BIG NAMES REFERRED TO AUTHORITIES BY THE UNIONS ROYAL COMMISSION:

CESAR MELHEM

Victorian Labor MP and former secretary of the Victorian branch of the Australian Workers' Union, referred to Victorian prosecutors for consideration of possible corruption and false accounting charges.

KATHY JACKSON

Former Health Services Union secretary, referred to prosecutors for possibly obtaining property and financial advantage by deception. Victorian police commissioner asked to investigate whether false or misleading evidence given.

DEAN HALL

CFMEU ACT secretary, referred for possibly intimidating an inspector.

DAVID HANNA

Former CFMEU Queensland president referred to Queensland DPP and Queensland police commissioner for possible corruption.

DERRICK BELAN

Former National Union of Workers NSW secretary, referred for possible larceny or fraud and breach of duties related to an arrangement with former NSW Labor MP Paul Gibson.

NICK BELAN

Derrick Belan's brother and union organiser for possible larceny and/or fraud.

DANIELLE O'BRIEN

Derrick and Nick Belan's niece and former NUW accounts manager for possible larceny and/or fraud.

GEORGE ALEX

Underworld figure referred for possible corruption.

DARREN GREENFIELD

CFMEU NSW official referred for possible corruption.

BRIAN PARKER

CFMEU NSW secretary for possibly giving false or misleading evidence and for breaches of his duties as an officer

Former Electrical Trade Union Victorian state secretary for possible breaches of his duties as an officer.

* CFMEU NSW branch referred to ASIC and Commissioner Heydon has also asked the NSW government to consider an inquiry into its "concerning charitable fundraising".

* Australian Workers' Union referred to Victorian prosecutors over possible corruption and false accounting and Fair Work relating to Cleanevent, Thiess John Holland, Chiquita Mushrooms, ACI Operations, Downer EDI Engineering Power, Winslow Constructors.

* John Holland referred to Victorian prosecutors over possible corruption

* Possible corruption charges against Chiquita Mushrooms, former ACI executive Mike Gilhome

* Possible false accounting charges against Winslow Constructors and its founder Dino Strano
