Deputy Liberal leader Julie Bishop will spend day one of the election campaign visiting the Bega Cheese factory in the critical seat of Eden-Monaro.

Deputy Liberal leader Julie Bishop will begin the marathon election campaign spruiking free-trade deals in the NSW bellwether seat of Eden-Monaro.

Ms Bishop will be touring the Bega Cheese factory on Monday, which is in the marginal Liberal electorate of junior government minister Peter Hendy.

"I know that they have huge opportunities to sell their dairy products into South-East Asia under the trade deals of the coalition government," she told ABC radio.
