Black voters rethink Obama

Support for Obama is wavering in the black community, with many undecided whether or not they will vote to re-elect the president in November.

African Americans have been hit hard by the economy with black unemployment rates almost double that of whites.

In 2008, 96 per cent of African Americans who voted in the Federal Election voted for Obama, but now some are reconsidering their support for the president.

Last month the Obama campaign launched 'African Americans for Obama' to generate support in black communities.
