Faith Altheide can’t see photographs of her daughter or hear her voice.

But two teachers from her daughter’s school in Indiana, USA, have come up with an ingenious way to give her a portrait she can hold.

A video posted on social media shows her emotional reaction as she received the precious gift.

In the video, teachers Ron Shaffer and Cory Howard are seen taking photographs of Denise Altheide in order to efficiently model the 3D print-out.

The teachers said their next project will focus on newborns and blind parents, as well as newborns whose fathers are abroad and can't see their child.
