Carlton will bring a fourth No.1 draft pick to the club after holding on to the coveted selection through the AFL trade window.

Top defensive prospect Jacob Weitering is likely to join Marc Murphy, Bryce Gibbs and Matthew Kreuzer as top draft picks at the Blues at the November 24 national draft.

Brisbane have pick No.2, while Melbourne improved to hold pick No.3 after trading with Gold Coast during the trade period.

Essendon's trade of Jake Carlisle to St Kilda means the Bombers have picks No.4 and No.5.

Gold Coast have pick No.6 with the Demons re-entering the draft at pick No.7, making good on the club's goal to have two top-10 draft selections during their rebuilding phase under Paul Roos.

The result was many non-Victorian clubs jockeying to secure lower draft picks to grow their points base and secure their home-grown products.

Geelong will be the last mover in the draft, making their first selection with pick No.67.
