Police Wednesday pored over evidence taken from a New York hotel, including bodily fluids, which prosecutors believe may link IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn to sexual assault charges, US media reported.
The fluid samples were found after a chambermaid was taken back to the suite in the Sofitel hotel in Manhattan where she says she was attacked by the IMF boss on Saturday who tried to rape her.
Police said she pointed to the place where Strauss-Kahn tried to force her to perform oral sex and where she said she remembered spitting, ABC television reported.

"Those fluids are being tested for Strauss-Kahn's DNA," ABC said.
A large section of a rug was also taken from the suite to be analyzed, the Wall Street Journal said, adding that the 32-year-old woman had pointed to two places where she allegedly remembered spitting.
In a bid to gather other evidence, one of the sinks inside the luxury suite has been swabbed after it was shown to possibly contain DNA evidence, the Journal added.
Disposable contact lenses, a used toothpick and drinking glass and small, bloodied bandages were also taken away, the business daily said.
Strauss-Kahn denies seven counts of sexual assault, attempted rape and unlawful imprisonment, and his defense has hinted that any sexual act may have been consensual.
The woman, an immigrant from the West African nation of Guinea, has not been identified, but was due to testify Wednesday before a grand jury after her alleged ordeal.
"There is nothing consensual about what took place in that hotel room," her lawyer Jeff Shapiro told NBC television.
Prosecutors have said they have forensic evidence indicating attempted rape, including a doctor's exam made immediately after the incident.
