Body found in Hobart river

Police will continue to investigate the disappearance of a man whose body has been found in Hobart's Derwent River.

Police have recovered a body from Hobart's Derwent River believed to be that of a missing man for whom crews have been searching nearby bushland.

James Lee Osborn, 62, was last seen early on Thursday morning and subsequent air and land search efforts had focused on land near his Mt Nelson home.

But late on Friday police confirmed a body was found submerged near a boat ramp on Hobart's waterfront, leaving detectives to continue investigations into the death.
