Body found in search for man at WA lake

Police divers have found a body in their search of a lake in Western Australia's north for a man who jumped in and did not resurface.

Police divers have found a body in their search for a man who jumped from a rock ledge into a West Australian lake and failed to resurface.

The man, aged in his 30s, was among four friends camping at Lake Kununurra, in WA's north, and went swimming on Saturday morning.

His friends dived into the reservoir to help the man but could not find him.

WA Police said on Monday night a body was found by divers.

Police and their dive squad, East Kimberley State Emergency Service volunteers and Wyndham Marine Search and Rescue were involved in the search.
