Body in the water in SA identified

Police have confirmed the identity of a man who was found dead in the water off the Adelaide coast on Thursday.

A man found dead in the water off the Adelaide coast has been identified as a 67-year-old from Coober Pedy, in South Australia's mid-north.

Police were called to West Beach on Thursday afternoon following reports of a man's body being recovered from the water.

His death is not considered suspicious, police say.
