Body of Indian sailor found in WA waters

The body of an Indian sailor who fell off a bulk ore carrier anchored off Port Hedland in Western Australia has been found.

The body of an Indian sailor has been found in waters off Western Australia's Pilbara coast a day after he fell off a bulk ore carrier.

The 23-year-old was last seen at morning muster on Wednesday and was reported missing after failing to appear for the afternoon muster about three-and-a-half hours later.

His body was found on Thursday.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
