Body of man recovered at Sydney beach

The body of a 58-year-old man has been pulled from the water at Coogee Beach in Sydney's east.

Police were called to the beach about 6.30am (AEDT) on Wednesday where the man was declared dead after lifesavers brought his body ashore.

Police say a crime scene has been established but the death is not believed to be suspicious.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
