Body of missing NSW swimmer found

The body of a man who went missing while swimming at a beach in NSW's Riverina regions has been found during a police search.

The body of a man who went missing at a beach in NSW's Riverina region has been found.

Emergency services were called to Moama Beach at 6.30pm (AEDT) on Saturday after concerns were raised for a 27-year-old man last seen swimming under the Echuca-Moama Bridge.

Police launched an extensive land and water search for the man, but failed to locate him.

The search resumed early on Sunday involving NSW and Victorian police, divers, NSW Roads and Maritime Services, SES and Marine Rescue.

About 10.10am, the man's body was found downstream from where he was last seen.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
