Boko Haram kill 150 in Nigeria raid

Boko Haram attacks in a northeast Nigerian city have left 150 people dead.

More than 150 people have been killed, including 38 police, in a Boko Haram raid on the northeast Nigerian city of Damaturu this week.

A senior rescue official and a medical source at the city's Sani Abacha Specialist Hospital on Wednesday told AFP 115 bodies were brought to the morgue after Monday's attack, although it was not clear whether they were insurgents or civilians.

Six soldiers were also killed, they added, while Emmanuel Ojukwu, spokesman for Nigeria's federal police, said 38 police officers lost their lives.
