Bolivia off WADA non-compliant list

WADA has removed Bolivia from the list of countries deemed non-compliant with its code.

Bolivia has been removed from the list of countries deemed non-compliant with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) code.

WADA says Bolivia "has resolved the outstanding issue related to the use of non-accredited laboratories and, as such, finds itself once again code-compliant".

In November, Bolivia had been among six countries found to be non-compliant with the global anti-doping code, along with Andorra, Argentina, Israel, Russia and Ukraine. Israel and Argentina have since fallen into line.

The announcement of Bolivia's reinstatement came on the same day that Beijing's anti-doping lab was suspended for up to four months for failing to meet WADA testing standards.

The Moscow and Lisbon labs were stripped in the past week of their accreditations.
