Bomb in Baghdad kills at least 13

A car bomb has killed at least 13 people in a southeastern suburb of Baghdad, with the death toll expected to rise.

A suicide car bomber has killed at least 13 people and wounded more than 40 others in an attack near a group of Shi'ite pilgrims in Baghdad.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast at a market in the southeastern Nahrawan district but Islamic State regularly attacks civilians in and around the Iraqi capital.

Police sources said the death toll could rise given the high number of injuries.
