Bombers delist Green after two AFL seasons

Small forward Josh Green has been delisted by Essendon after playing 24 games over two AFL seasons at the Bombers.

Essendon have delisted small forward Josh Green after he only managed seven AFL games this season.

The 25-year-old played 24 games over two years with the Bombers after 81 at Brisbane.

He's starred for the Bombers in the VFL finals, kicking three goals on Saturday in the five-point semi-final win over Richmond.

"Josh was a very well-liked member of the playing group and he performed well in his games for the club, showing leadership on and off the field," coach John Worsfold said in a statement.

"Unfortunately, he was curtailed by injuries at crucial times but always stayed positive."

Green has kicked 132 goals in 105 AFL matches.
