Forensic tests have confirmed the bones found at a unit block in Bondi Beach are human.

The "small amount of bones" were discovered by a construction worker on Ramsgate Avenue on Wednesday morning.

A forensic test confirmed they belonged to a human but no further details about the age or gender were available, a NSW Police spokesman told AAP on Thursday.
