Boosting Pacific blood transfusion services

The Australian Red Cross is working with 11 Pacific nations to improve the availability and safety of life-saving blood transfusions.

The Australian Red Cross says there's been a 20 per cent increase in life-saving blood donations across the Pacific in the past two years.

The organisation is working with 11 Pacific nations to improve the availability and safety of life-saving blood transfusions.

Thea Cowie spoke with the Red Cross's International Humanitarian Blood Advisor Neil Waters about some of the challenges.
