Investigations are continuing into a suspected homicide west of Brisbane.

Neighbours called emergency services around 2am on Friday after hearing a gunshot from a property at Booval, Ipswich.

When police arrived, they found a 26-year-old man who had died of a gunshot wound, along with another man, 27, who suffered minor head injuries and was taken to hospital.

A 24-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, who were also at the house at the time, were assisting police with the investigation on Friday.

But Detective Inspector Lew Strohfeldt said police had no suspects.
