Bowen wants three debates with Morrison

Shadow treasurer Chris Bowen wants three debates with treasurer Scott Morrison during the eight-week election campaign.

Shadow treasurer Chris Bowen wrote to his Liberal counterpart Scott Morrison a few weeks ago suggesting a minimum of three debates during the eight-week election campaign.

"He has yet to reply," Mr Bowen told Sky News on Sunday.

Mr Bowen wants to debate the treasurer on ABC TV, on Sky News and at the National Press Club, where he is due to make his traditional budget reply address on Wednesday.
