Boy, 3, found submerged in water in Sydney

A young boy has been rushed to hospital after being found submerged in water for a period of time at a western Sydney home.

A boy, believed to be three years old, has been rushed to hospital in a serious condition after being found submerged in water at a western Sydney home.

Paramedics rushed to a June Street home in Seven Hills just after midday on Wednesday following reports a young boy had been found submerged in water for a period of time, NSW Ambulance said.

The little boy has been rushed to Westmead Children's Hospital in a serious condition.

An above ground pool in the backyard can be seen from Network Seven helicopter footage of the scene.
