Boy dies at Perth basketball tournament

A 10-year-old boy who collapsed during a basketball tournament in Perth has died.

A 10-year-old boy has collapsed and died at a basketball tournament in Perth.

Paramedics were called to the Warwick Stadium in Perth at 10.50am on Saturday after the boy collapsed.

It's believed the collapse was related to an existing medical condition.

St John Ambulance paramedics tried to revive the boy and rushed him to the Joondalup Health Campus but he was declared dead.

The Perth Wildcats tweeted their condolences after news of the death broke.
