A three-year-old boy has died after sustaining injuries at a Queensland playground centre.

The child was found unresponsive at Inflatable World Toowoomba on Sunday.

He was found at the bottom of a slide with injuries to the back of his head and taken to Toowoomba Hospital, police said.

He was transferred to Brisbane's Lady Cilento Children's Hospital where he died on Monday.

Police have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the boy playing at the centre on Sunday to contact them.

Workplace Health and Safety are also investigating.

Inflatable World Toowoomba posted a statement on Facebook on Tuesday sending their condolences to the boy's family.

"We are devastated by the news that a child has passed away in hospital after collapsing at our venue on Sunday afternoon," the post says.

Inflatable World also say a full investigation involving all relevant authorities, as well as an internal investigation, is underway.
