Boy killed in Queensland road accident

A young boy is dead after the car he was in crashed into a creek south of Mackay in central Queensland.

A boy has been killed when the car he was in crashed and rolled into a creek on the central Queensland coast.

The woman driver has been airlifted to Mackay Base Hospital, while another child in the car has minor injuries.

The accident happened on the Bruce Highway north of Carmila at 9.30am on Sunday. The boy died at the scene.
