Brandis visiting India to discuss security

Attorney-General George Brandis is travelling to India to discuss security with his Indian government counterparts.

Australian Attorney-General George Brandis is in India to hold talks on greater security and legal co-operation between the two countries.

Senator Brandis said India is a key international partner for Australia on counter-terrorism, cyber security and international crime co-operation.

"I will be discussing these issues with my Indian government counterpart where we will share our experiences and responses to the evolving threats," he said in a statement on Sunday, adding that the visit will continue until Thursday.
