Brathwaite ton as West Indies control Test

West Indies are 4-295 after day one of the second Test against Bangladesh with Kraigg Brathwaite's century the highlight.

Kraigg Brathwaite's second century in as many innings put West Indies in control of the second Test against Bangladesh in Kingston.

The opener struck 110 off 279 balls to lift the hosts to 4-295 at stumps on day one after the Tigers won the toss and elected to bowl.

Bangladesh had reduced the hosts to 3-138 but Brathwaite joined forces with Shimron Hetmyer to add 109 for the fourth wicket.

Opener Brathwaite became Mehidy Hasan's (3-90) third victim late in the day's play.

Hetmyer reached stumps 16 runs short of a maiden Test century, with Roston Chase not out on 16.

Devon Smith (2), Kieran Powell (29) and Shai Hope (29) were the other Windies batsmen to be dismissed.

West Indies lead the two-match series 1-0 after they thrashed Bangladesh by an innings and 219 runs in the lopsided first Test.
