Brisbane ABC host hurt after bull fall

A Brisbane ABC radio host has been injured after falling from a bull during a live broadcast from the Royal Queensland Show.

A Brisbane radio host has been injured on-air after she fell from a bull during a live broadcast at the Royal Queensland Show.

Rebecca Levingston was dismounting the bull during a segment on her ABC breakfast show with co-host Craig Zonca when she fell and hurt her knee.

Zonca, who had dared Levingston to climb up and sit on the bull, later told listeners she had "popped" her knee.

"She is A-okay. Just can't put much weight on that knee right now," Zonca said.

Levingston tweeted a photo from the Triage Nurse desk at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with the caption "well that escalated quickly".

She later phoned in to the show to say she was "dying of embarrassment" and she was thankful her brother, who works at the hospital, hadn't been at work at the time she arrived.

She also expressed her frustration that the injury will impact on her plans for her son's birthday this weekend, for which she had organised a jumping castle.
