Brisbane Monopoly draws social media quips

Twitter users have shared some tongue-in-cheek suggestion for Monopoly chance cards in the recently announced Brisbane version of the game.

The announcement of a Brisbane version of Monopoly has prompted some tongue-in-cheek suggestions for the iconic game's Chance cards.

The hashtag #BneMonopolyChanceCards trended nationally on Tuesday afternoon with users sharing not-so-serious quips about life in the river city.

"Your night out has ended at Dunder. Pay $200 to hide your shame," Stephen Jeffery tweeted about the infamous Down Under backpackers bar in the Brisbane CBD.

Others poked fun at the capital's weather.

"You sit in King George Square on you lunch break. Collect a pool of sweat and sunburn," Andrew Kos wrote.

Natalie Bochenski added: "It begins raining. Lose your memory of how to drive."

Queensland's lack of daylight saving predictably reared it's head, with Stephen Moss tweeting: "You tried to ring a Sydney business at 4.05pm between October and March. Wait a turn."
