A converted Brisbane property, packed with marijuana plants in six rooms, held a sophisticated hydroponic cannabis set-up worth $2 million.
The suburban property on Littler Street, Sunnybank, was raided by the police drug squad on Wednesday morning after a tip-off from the public.
Around 450 plants had been packed into different rooms, Detective Acting Superintendent Geoff Sheldon said.
"Six separate rooms were all under lighting control for growing conditions, heating, air conditioning," he said.
"Air was being removed and recycled through filters to avoid the smell of cannabis being detected by the neighbours."
The home's power supply had been diverted around meters.
Two students, both aged in their mid-20s, are in custody and expected to be charged on Wednesday afternoon.
Det Sheldon said the complex set-up would have been highly profitable.
"With the six rooms, they're all going flat-chat under the lights and the power," he said.
"You could turn over a crop roughly every eight weeks."
It is the second property in the Brisbane region revealed to be housing a large-scale cannabis nursery in as many weeks.
A 21-year-old man faced court on October 2 after police raided a home at Durack and found a network of rooms containing $1m worth of marijuana plants.
