Brisbane's Adam Blair avoids NRL charge

Adam Blair has not been charged by the NRL's match review committee for a high shot on St George Illawarra's Will Matthews.

Adam Blair will be free to play for Brisbane against Parramatta after being cleared by the NRL's match review committee.

Blair was penalised after he slipped and collected a falling Will Matthews in the head during the Broncos' four-point win over St George Illawarra on Thursday night, however he has not been cited by the judiciary.

Any charge would have placed the 30-year-old at risk of missing at least one match, given he has 44 carryover points and weighting from a number of other charges in the past two years.
