A family member of one of eight people injured in a buggy crash on Queensland's Hamilton Island has described the horrific scenes following the accident.
A mother and her nine-month-old baby girl were critically injured after the golf buggy they were travelling in collided with another parked buggy on Thursday, leaving the girl with a fractured skull.
"She said there's just broken bodies, broken limbs, torn bodies (and) there's blood everywhere - it's absolutely horrific," Joanne Miller, the mother-in-law of one of the injured, told the Nine Network on Friday.
Police are investigating what caused the crash.
