Bronco Scott Anderson joins Wakefield

Brisbane Bronco prop Scott Anderson has joined English Super League club Wakefield.

Super League club Wakefield have bolstered their pack for 2014 with the signing of former Melbourne Storm prop Scott Anderson from the Brisbane Broncos.

The 27-year-old, who will join the Wildcats on a 12-month deal subject to a successful visa application, played in two grand finals for the Storm, including their 2009 win over Parramatta, and made his 50th appearance for the Broncos in 2013.

"I'm really excited," said Anderson.

"It's a new challenge for me and a big challenge to come over to Super League. I know there have been a lot of players that have come over and been successful so hopefully I can be too."

Anderson is Wakefield's third forward recruit for 2014 following the signing of Daniel Smith (South Sydney) and Richard Moore (Leeds) who will plug the gaps created by the departure of Frankie Mariano, Oliver Wilkes, Justin Poore and Kyle Amor.
