His future at Brisbane uncertain, veteran prop Adam Blair is entertaining the idea of an early release as NRL rivals circle.

Broncos coach Wayne Bennett conceded on Friday that Blair may depart before his contract expires at the end of 2018, given the interest he is attracting elsewhere.

It is understood that the Warriors and St George Illawarra are keen on luring the New Zealand veteran.

With little room to move within their salary cap, the Broncos may be priced out of the 31-year-old's services.

"We've been asked about that and told him to go have a look around and come back and talk to us," Bennett said.

Bennett on Friday also sought to clarify his position on luring Ashley Taylor home to Red Hill from the Gold Coast.

Taylor's future is the hot topic ahead of the south-east Queensland derby, the halfback currently contracted to the Titans until the end of 2018.

Bennett is keen to see Taylor back in Brisbane but the Titans are pinning their hopes on building the club around the talented 22-year-old.

"What I said was that he's a quality football player and if he comes off contract we're interested," Bennett said.

"But I'm happy with (current halfback Kodi Nikorima) and happy with what I've got here."

Titans coach Neil Henry is hopeful Taylor sees a future on the Gold Coast.

"If he's (Bennett) interested in getting him back they'll table an offer. Time will tell," Henry said.

"We just need to try hard to keep him here and more immediately play well against his old club on Saturday."
