Brisbane lock Josh McGuire has accepted a $1100 fine for treading on the foot of potential Queensland State of Origin teammate Tim Glasby.

McGuire was charged on Monday with a grade one contrary conduct offence following the Broncos' 32-16 NRL loss to Melbourne on Sunday.

The 78th-minute incident went unnoticed at the time but the NRL's match review committee saw McGuire forcibly step on Glasby's foot as he attempted to get up from a tackle.

It comes just a week before the pair could be named together to try to save the Maroons' series, if Glasby earns a recall for game two in Sydney.

The Brisbane lock wasn't the only Queensland big man to find himself in trouble at the weekend.

Gold Coast prop Jarrod Wallace will miss the Titans' clash with Canterbury on Sunday after entering a guilty plea for a cannonball tackle on South Sydney's Cameron Murray.

Wallace was charged on Saturday but accepted the ban on Monday, meaning he won't play again before the next Origin clash.

His spot is largely considered safe after he made his Queensland debut last year, although he attracted some criticism for his attacking numbers at the MCG.

Canberra's Charlie Gubb has also accepted a one-game ban for a late diving tackle on the legs of Nathan Cleary in the Raiders' loss to Penrith on Friday night.
