Broncos pair added to casualty ward

Injured pair Alex Glenn and Payne Haas face frustrating waits on the sideline as Brisbane's NRL forward pack stocks grow even thinner.

Alex Glenn faces a month on the sidelines while the immediate future of highly-rated teenager Payne Haas is unknown following scans on the Brisbane pair's injuries on Monday.

Glenn (knee) is eying a June 10 return against Melbourne and Haas will see a specialist after fully dislocating his shoulder in Saturday night's comprehensive 38-24 loss to the Storm at Suncorp Stadium.

Their injuries compound the Broncos woes, given Australian forwards Josh McGuire (ankle) and Matt Gillett (neck) are already on the sidelines.

McGuire is out of his moon boot and hopeful of a return soon and Gillett was running at training last week and waiting on the all-clear to return to contact sessions.

Glenn has a medial ligament strain in his knee and will miss the next two NRL home games against Sydney Roosters and Parramatta before the well-timed bye.

In-demand forward Haas was billed as the next big thing but has received a rude welcome to the NRL.

The 18-year-old was concussed in his second game and played until half-time despite the painful shoulder dislocation against Manly.

"He's a tough kid, but he hasn't had two good weeks," Bennett said after the game.

The Broncos' high performance manager Jeremy Hickmans said the club would not have a time frame on his return until he sees a specialist.
