It must be pretty handy to have a seven-time premiership-winning coach in the same building.

So it didn't take long for Brisbane women's coach Paul Dyer to walk into Wayne Bennett's office after his team qualified for Sunday's inaugural NRLW grand final against the Sydney Roosters.

"You'd be silly not to speak to Wayne about grand final week," Dyer said on Friday.

"He's obviously the master of grand finals and certainly he's one of the first people I spoke to about the week and how he thought it should look."

And Bennett's best piece of advice had nothing to do with the game.

The coaching legend told Dyer that, in what is already a chaotic build-up to the game that included travelling to Sydney, to keep his women busy ahead of the big day.

"Because we've had to travel, you sit around hotels and things like that," Dyer said.

"One of the big things was to make sure we had plenty on over the course of the week, don't have them lazing around the hotel, because that wouldn't be normal if they were back at home."

Roosters coach Adam Hartigan has had a vastly different preparation.

While the Broncos enter the contest with a perfect three wins from three matches, Hartigan's side scraped through on for-and-against after only winning their final game.

Led by stars Ali Brigginshaw and Dally M female player of the year Brittany Brealey, the Broncos are heavy favourites against a Roosters side that started the competition with the same tag.

The Roosters are spearheaded by Jillaroos pair Ruan Sims and Simaima Taufa.

"We come off two losses which was a fair bit of external pressure and internal," Hartigan said.

"It's a fair bit of experience to have the players come Monday night and first session after a win. The vibe was different, the energy at training was great.

"It was just a sense of relief and you definitely felt like not only where we going into grand final week, but we've improved each week and the plan is to get better."

The NRLW grand final at ANZ Stadium kicks off at 13.35 AEST.
