Australian superstar Ben Simmons will have Brett Brown as his Philadelphia 76ers coach for the next four seasons, according to reports out of the NBA.
The former Boomers coach has been given a three-year contract extension after taking Philadelphia to the playoffs for the first time in six seasons.
Brown had one year left on his current deal after starting as coach in 2013 and an official announcement from the 76ers is expected to come in the next 24 hours.
The 57-year-old previously coached in the NBL with North Melbourne and Sydney and was an assistant under Lindsay Gaze at the Melbourne Tigers.
It has been a long journey for Brown and Philadelphia fans, with the franchise embarking on a rebuilding process that has become known as 'The Process'.
After a combined tally of 75 wins during Brown's first four years, the Sixers claimed 52 victories during the 2017-18 regular season on their way to clinching the Eastern Conference's third seed.
The rise came about as Simmons took the NBA by storm after injury ruined his first season after being drafted in 2016.
He is a $1.03 favourite to be crowned as the league's Rookie of the Year, to be announced on June 25.
Simmons would be the first Australian to win the prestigious honour, although Melbourne-born Kyrie Irving took it out in 2011-12, but he moved to America when he was two.
Combining with All-Star Joel Embiid, Philadelphia are predicted to move into serious championship contention next season after bowing out in the Eastern Conference semi-finals to Boston.
The Sixers have been one of the many teams linked to LeBron James, with the Cleveland superstar possibly moving away from the Cavaliers for a second time in the off-season.
Simmons hasn't shied away from wanting to play with the greatest player of his generation.
When quizzed about how a possible combination with James would work, Simmons stated: "There's only one way to find out."
"I mean he's a great player, of course (I want to play with James)," Simmons said.
