Bruce Springsteen has announced he'll be returning to Australia and New Zealand early next year for a nine-concert tour.

Bruce Springsteen is returning to Australia for a concert tour early next year.

The Boss and his E Street Band will perform in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane as well as Hanging Rock at Mt Macedon and Hope Estate in the NSW Hunter Valley in late January, early February.

He'll then perform in New Zealand, including a concert at Christchurch, with promoters pushing it as a "special and emotive" event on the eve of the 2011 earthquake anniversary.
