The Brumbies are likely to play a more attacking style after their six-tries-to-one Super Rugby demolition of the Queensland Reds.

Coach Stephen Larkham's side have the best defence in the Australian conference which they top.

Their 33-0 second half against the Queensland Reds on Saturday night showed they have a few tricks in attack as well with flick-passes, offloads and tries which Larkham described as some of the best he has seen at GIO Stadium.

"It depends on conditions but certainly if you look at the competition, we've got a pretty good defence, we're up the top with most of the stats defensively and we want to be better with our attack so we'll continue the momentum we've got," Larkham said.

With the highest tackle success rate in the competition, the Brumbies defence has conceded a miserly 101 points in their opening six games, by far the lowest tally in the conference.

They added a dynamic attack to their game against the Reds, repeatedly breaching the visitors' defence in the second half on their way to a 43-10 rout.

That was no accident, with Larkham urging his players to express themselves in the lead-up to winning their 10th consecutive Australian derby.

"We've spoken about trying to be a better attacking side and there was certainly glimpses there," Larkham said.

One of the shining lights in attack for the Brumbies was fullback Aidan Toua, who capped his best game for the season with a brilliant try, running 70 metres to score under the posts.

"We modified a few things during the week which allowed him to get a few more touches of the ball," Larkham said.

"He came into the game with a lot of confidence.

"Every time he touched the ball there was something happening out there.

"If I was looking at the game from a spectator's point of view he was definitely my man of the match."
