Budget bills introduced before year's end

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has promised to introduce all budget measure legislation and a bill to establish a plebiscte before the end of the year.

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has promised to introduce legislation for all his government's budget measures into parliament by the end of the year.

"We will be presenting our budget legislation before the end of the year," he told ABC's 730 program on Monday evening.

Mr Turnbull said the parliament would also get legislation to establish a national vote on same-sex marriage in the same time frame, while conceding the plebiscite may not happen until next year.
