If you're planning a camping trip this Christmas holidays don't forget to pack a toilet brush and your own toilet paper.

The union representing NSW park rangers are warning people that national parks are becoming increasingly dishevelled and unclean across the Blue Mountains, Kuring-gai and the Royal National Park in NSW due to 20 per cent budget cuts.

Public Service Association of NSW Industrial Officer Geo Papas says toilet cleaning, rubbish removal, lawn mowing and general maintenance has already been hit, with park rangers and office workers being told to pick up the slack.

The PSA's advised its members across the Sydney and Blue Mountains region to boycott those jobs, which used to be done by outside contractors.
