Budget to fund Adelaide oval redevelopment

Federal funding for redevelopment of Brighton Oval in Adelaide's southwest will be included in Tuesday's federal budget, SA premier Steven Marshall announced.

A $5 million investment to redevelop an oval in Adelaide's southwest will be included in the federal budget.

The redevelopment of Brighton Oval will upgrade clubroom facilities and install a new fitness hub, basketball court, play spaces and covered areas.

South Australian Premier Steven Marshall and federal Boothby Liberal MP Nicolle Flint announced the project funding on Sunday.

"It is critical that we support our clubs and community groups to grow while also creating places that local families can enjoy," Ms Flint said.

Ms Flint's seat is considered the most vulnerable for the Morrison government in SA at the upcoming federal election, with a margin of 2.7 per cent.
