The Western Bulldogs are troubled by some features of the AFL investigation that cleared Michael Talia of leaking game-sensitive information.
But otherwise they are holding their tongues over the saga.
The Bulldogs issued a statement a day after the AFL announced they had cleared Talia over allegations he gave information to Adelaide ahead of their September elimination final.
Talia has since left the Bulldogs and joined Sydney.
"As a club we are troubled by certain aspects of the AFL investigation," they said.
"However, our responsibility has been to ensure that our club complied with our fundamental values and obligations and we are satisfied that we have done so.
"We believe we have done what we were obliged to do on behalf of our club, players and members and fans and we now intend to continue to concentrate on the upcoming season."
The Bulldogs asked the AFL to investigate allegations that Talia leaked information to his brother Daniel, who plays for the Crows.
Adelaide beat the Bulldogs in the final, ending their season.
While the brothers were cleared, the AFL handed Adelaide defender Kyle Cheney a formal warning.
It was comments by Cheney, which he said were made in jest, that sparked the controversy.
Michael Talia and the Bulldogs had an acrimonious split over the allegation.
