Bullet Gliddon in doubt for crunch clash

Brisbane guard Cameron Gliddon missed training on Friday and is in some doubt for Saturday's must-win NBL clash against New Zealand.

Cameron Gliddon's troublesome back has him in doubt for Brisbane's final regular season game that could decide their NBL finals fate on Saturday.

The shooting guard has managed back soreness throughout his career and coach Andrej Lemanis admits it's struck again, forcing him to miss Friday's session.

The Bullets are fifth but can still make the finals if they beat New Zealand on Saturday and Perth defeat Adelaide on Friday night.

The former Cairns captain is averaging 13.6 points per game this season and shooting at a solid 39 per cent from three-point range.

Lemanis said the issue was unrelated to what forced Gliddon into minor back surgery late last year.

"We're hoping he's right tomorrow," he said.

"It's more on the play but not play, but we'll see."

The Breakers are coming off a record 130-point haul in Thursday's defeat of Illawarra.

Lemanis said they would need to defend intelligently to stop the flow of points.

"They're playing with the freedom now; their fate is sealed and sometimes that loosens guys up a bit," he said.

And the coach will leave it up to the individual to decided if they watch Friday's late-night NBL clash in Perth, where they need the Wildcats to do them a favour.

"Some will choose to watch the game, others will just choose to look at the result when it's over," he said.

"(Perth's) record's pretty good this year; they've got it under control."
